Starting in September, Nintendo Australia is hosting a series of online qualifying events for the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe AU/NZ Championship. These open qualifiers will determine the top players who will compete in the finals on Sunday, 8th October at PAX Australia 2023. There are multiple ways to play and participate, and players of all experience levels are welcome.
Eligible players of the Mario Kart™ 8 Deluxe game from across Australia and New Zealand will have a chance to compete in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: AU/NZ Championship tournament on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th and 11th of September.
There’s also My Nintendo goodies up for grabs for playing:
The top two players across each qualifier (12 players total) will be awarded 1,000 My Nintendo Gold Points.
20 randomly selected players will be awarded 1,000 My Nintendo Gold Points.
All participants will also receive 50 Platinum Points per day just for playing.
Players can get discounts on their next Nintendo eShop purchase with their Gold Points and use their Platinum Points for physical and digital rewards.

Instead, the next eligible player on the leader board will be declared a winner for that tournament day. This way, everyone has a shot!
