What is 2-Step Verification?

If you set 2-Step Verification for your Nintendo Account, you will need to enter an a 6-digit code that is only valid for a short period of time, in addition to your email address and password.

Using 2-Step Verification can help prevent unauthorized access of your account by a third party.

The 2-Step Verification code is provided via the smartphone application Google Authenticator™ and changes at regular intervals.

Therefore, even if someone successfully enters your email address (or sign ID) and password, if the authentication code is not provided your Nintendo Account cannot be accessed.
