Console does not register or read the Game Cartridge.

  1. Check the Nintendo DS Game Slot using a strong light source such as a torch or lamp for any bent or broken connector pins (do not insert anything into the game slot). In this case, the warranty becomes void and repair charges will apply.

    If damaged or broken pins are detected, the Nintendo DS will need to be returned to Nintendo Australia for inspection/repair.

  2. Check the Nintendo DS Game Slot using a strong light source such as a torch or lamp for any visible discolouration, contamination or foreign material on the connector pins (do not insert anything into the game slot). In addition also check the connector pins of your Game Cards or Game Paks. If you see discolouration, contamination or foreign material this could indicate damage from a liquid or foreign substance. In this case, the warranty becomes void and repair charges will apply..

    If discolouration, contamination or foreign material is detected, the Nintendo DS and/or any affected Game Cards or Game Paks will need to be returned to Nintendo Australia for inspection/repair.

  3. Check if it is one or all of the games that have an issue. Verify this by testing another game in the Nintendo DS. If this corrects the problem the cartridge is at fault and not the unit.
