An error message is displayed on Nintendo Switch, "An error occurred while the IR Motion Camera was reading."
What to Do:
If a microSD card is inserted or removed while the console is powered on or while in sleep mode, you will be prompted to restart the console.
Update the controller firmware.
Additional Information:
The controller firmware can be updated while the controller is attached to the Nintendo Switch console or while it is connected wirelessly.
In order to update the controller firmware, the controller must be paired to the console and powered on.
If multiple controllers are paired to the console, the firmware will be updated one controller at a time.
From the HOME Menu select "System Settings" > "Controllers and Sensors" > "Update Controllers."
The option to update controller firmware is available for consoles with system menu version 4.0.0. or higher.
If the issue persists, try the following:
Ensure that the IR motion camera on the right Joy-Con is not covered or obstructed.
If a skin or cover is being used, remove it temporarily.
Reduce the distance between the right Joy-Con and the Nintendo Switch console.
Move any metal objects or electronic devices away from your Nintendo Switch console.
Situation Not Resolved:
If the error persists, the right Joy-Con will need to be repaired.
