While playing a game on Nintendo Switch, an error message is displayed instructing you to restart the console.

What to Do:

1. Perform a system update. 

2. If the latest system update is already installed, restart the console by holding down the POWER Button for three seconds, then select "Power Options" > "Restart."

   • If the console is not responding, hold down the POWER Button for at least twelve seconds to force the console to shut down. Then power it back on. 

3. Start a game to see if the situation improves. 

Situation Not Resolved:

If the error continues to be displayed often, the Nintendo Switch console will need to be repaired.
