An error code is received when trying to download software from the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch.
Additional Information:
If a microSD card is inserted on the console, the save location will default to the microSD card when downloading or redownloading software.
What to Do:
Ensure your console has the latest system update.
Check for corrupt data.
Depending on the system menu version, a system update may be required for this option to become available.
Complete These Steps:
From the HOME Menu, select "System Settings."
Scroll down the options on the left and select "Data Management."
On the right-hand side select "Manage Software," then select the software you would like to check.
Select "Check for Corrupt Data."
Delete any problematic software and redownload it.
If the issue persists, try the following:
Reseat the microSD card by removing and reinserting the microSD card.
Format the microSD card.
Once formatted, the information on the microSD card cannot be recovered. If screenshots or videos are stored on the microSD card, be sure to first back up the information on a computer.
If downloadable software was saved to the microSD card, it can be redownloaded using the same Nintendo Account where it was purchased.
Use a different microSD card.
Remove the microSD card and download the software directly to the system memory.
Situation Not Resolved:
If the error persists with multiple supported microSD cards, or when downloading directly to the system memory, the Nintendo Switch console will need to be repaired.
For testing purposes, be sure to include one or more of the problematic microSD cards that were being used with the console.
If the error persists and a microSD card is not being used, then the Nintendo Switch console will need to be repaired.
