Beware, ‘tis the season of spooks and scares! But don’t hide and don’t fret – enjoy some spooky fun on Nintendo Switch instead. A whole (g)host of entertainment that can be enjoyed with friends and family awaits!

Frightening festivities in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Jack, the czar of Halloween, is coming to your island on October 31st! Why not prepare for his visit with some spooky décor? Buy pumpkin starts from Leif, grow pumpkins and use them with DIY Recipes to craft creepy items. Then stop by the Able Sisters for a frighteningly fashionable outfit. Oh, and make sure to buy candy from Nook's Cranny so you have some to share on the big night.

On Halloween night itself, Jack will be hiding somewhere on your island from 5pm until midnight (local time). Be sure to talk to him and snag some treats, then grab some friends and enjoy the spooky fun together in Animal Crossing: New Horizons!


Go on a haunted Horror Land ride

Calling all superstars! What better way to celebrate Halloween then by visiting Horror Land? The classic N64 board returns in Mario Party Superstars on October 29th – and it’s haunted! This eerie place is guarded by Boos, and at night King Boo himself makes a ghastly appearance. Better hope he steals your opponents’ stars and not yours...


The hunter becomes the hunted

Tireless, relentless, merciless. The E.M.M.I. stalk the depths of planet ZDR in Metroid Dread. Corrupted by unknown forces, they have only one goal: eliminate Samus Aran. Take on the role of the galaxy’s greatest bounty hunter this Halloween, face off against the mechanical menace and uncover the truth about the X parasite in the conclusion of the 2D Metroid story arc.


Eerie encounters in New Pokémon Snap

Few places are spookier than a dark, damp cave. This Halloween, be daring and explore the cavernous depths of Outaway Cave in New Pokémon Snap. What will you find in this shadowy area? Expect some spooky appearances among the stalagmites and stalactites!


A scary good time

Pumpkins have invaded the Aeos arena in Pokémon UNITE! Scare up a good time from October 20th until November 10th with the Halloween Festival and discover new spooky treats for you and your Pokémon. Oh, and prepare to meet a tricky new Pokémon on the battlefield!


Frightening Fortnitemares await

Your fortune foretells a thrilling Fortnitemares throughout October! Jump into Halloween-themed maps, games, and experiences, and don’t forget to dress up in the spirit of the holiday! Iconic fiends, creatures and costumes await in Fortnite – including Universal Pictures-inspired Frankenstein’s Monster and The Mummy.


The monsters are within

This Halloween season, jump into the Apex Legends Monsters Within Event. Play on the Encore Arenas map, which players might recognise as the place where Seer made his name as a Legend. Unlock special, scary, event-limited cosmetic sets for Legends like Revenant, Bloodhound, Caustic and Seer.


A ghostly appearance in MONSTER HUNTER RISE

Don your knightly armour and ready your throwing lances to become the goblin-slaying hero of legend, Arthur, with the MONSTER HUNTER RISE x Ghost ‘n Goblins Resurrection collab! From October 29th, participate in a new event quest to unlock layered armor that will transform your hunter into the legendary knight.


Haunted hotel hijinks

What could possibly go wrong with a relaxing hotel getaway? When the hotel is haunted – everything! Join the cowardly hero Luigi on a ghostly, gooey quest to save Mario and friends in Luigi’s Mansion 3 this Halloween. Solve paranormal puzzles, hunt ghosts with gadgets, and share the scare with some local* or online** multiplayer!
