New Nintendo 2DS XL Support

    • The New Nintendo 2DS XL system will not turn on.

      Ensure you are using the Nintendo 3DS AC adapter (Model No. WAP-002 (AUS)). The Nintendo DSi AC adapter is also compatible.

      Unplug the AC adapter from the console and electrical outlet and wait approximately 30 seconds before plugging it in again.  Ensure the AC adapter is securely connected to both the New Nintendo 2DS XL and the electrical outlet.

      If you continue to experience this issue, contact Nintendo Customer Service.

    • I can't recharge the New Nintendo 2DS XL Battery Pack.

      Ensure you are using the Nintendo 3DS AC adapter (Model No. WAP-002 (AUS)). The Nintendo DSi AC adapter is also compatible.

      Unplug the AC adapter from the console and electrical outlet and wait approximately 30 seconds before plugging it in again. Ensure the AC adapter is securely connected to both the New Nintendo 2DS XL and the electrical outlet.

      If you continue to experience this issue, contact Nintendo Customer Service.

    • The recharge LED is not lit.

      Ensure you are using the Nintendo 3DS AC adapter (Model No. WAP-002 (AUS)). The Nintendo DSi AC adapter is also compatible.

      Unplug the AC adapter from the console and electrical outlet and wait approximately 30 seconds before plugging it in again. Ensure the AC adapter is securely connected to both the New Nintendo 2DS XL and the electrical outlet.

      If you continue to experience this issue, contact Nintendo Customer Service.

    • The brightness differs between the LCD screens.

      The technical specifications of the upper and lower screens are different which can lead to uneven brightness levels.  This is normal and should not be considered as a defect.

    • The Touch Screen doesn’t work properly.

      If Touch Screen input does not match what you see on screen (in-game movements), use the TOUCH SCREEN option in the Systems Settings to calibrate the input.

    • Photos taken by the camera have strange colours.

      If you have changed the colour settings in New Nintendo 2DS XL Camera, check the effects and / or Manual Settings in New Nintendo 2DS XL Camera.

      Try to take a photo of something else as photo results differ depending on your surroundings.  If the colours are still strange, contact Nintendo Customer Service.
       

    • The Circle Pad doesn’t work properly.

      If Circle Pad input does not match what you see on screen (in-game movements), use the CIRCLE PAD option in the Systems Settings to calibrate the input. 

    • An error message appears while playing Nintendo DS / Nintendo DSi software.

      Turn off the power, then turn it back on and try again, carrying out the same procedure as before.  If the error message still appears, there may be a fault with your system.  Please contact Nintendo Customer Service.
