A new calamity
Reality itself is under attack, as man-made bioweapons called Homunculi find themselves in Bayonetta’s crosshairs. Neither from Inferno, nor Paradiso, this army of interlopers is hell-bent on destruction!
The fashionable and foxy Umbra Witch must hunt them through the streets of Tokyo, the mountains of China and more, as she seeks a way to save the world from this mysterious threat.

An underground informant with a penchant for flashy jewelry and an seemingly unending bad luck streak.
Luka
Armed with a grappling hook, this charming freelance journalist is never far behind Bayonetta in his pursuit for the truth!
A diabolically good time
Tap into Bayonetta’s arsenal of abilities to torture, tease and thrash the homunculi hordes.
Dodge incoming attacks at just the right moment to activate Witch Time, slowing down time so that she can strut and slash at her own pace.
Bayonetta will also encounter all manner of Infernal Demons she can enter into pacts with. Equip up to three Infernal Demons at once and summon them in combat for some hair-raising action with the new Demon Slave art. Here are just some of the fiendish friends you can make:
Madama Butterfly
A demon taking the form of a woman who left this world under unfortunate circumstances, only to be reincarnated in hell.
Gomorrah
A monstrous, dragon-like creature that lives in the forests of Inferno, it is incredibly fierce, viewing all that moves as prey and devouring it.
Phantasmaraneae
An Infernal Demon that nests upon a sea of magma deep within the furthest reaches of Inferno.
Take control of these demonic darlings to wreak havoc on enemies in larger-than-life battles, or summon these infernal allies while exploring to obliterate obstacles in your path. Don’t get too carried away though – controlling demons leaves Bayonetta vulnerable to attack.
Perhaps a little fancy dress is in order! Demon Masquerade lets Bayonetta channel the hellish demons linked to her weapons, gaining a variety of abominable abilities and attacks. Transform into Madama Butterfly and spread your wings in aerial combat, stop foes in their tracks as demonic train and many more!
A new witch joins the crew
The spirited witch Viola is a new playable character who plays an important role in Bayonetta's globe-trotting adventure.
Joined by a capricious feline companion named Cheshire, when she’s not slashing enemies and blocking attacks with her sword, Viola can unleash this Infernal Demon from the lucky charm on her katana.
A hellish helping hand
Are you new to the arcane arts? Don’t fret! Switch freely between Casual, Standard and Expert difficulty modes at any time or equip the Immortal Marionette accessory to automatically defend and perform graceful combos by simply pressing one button. There’s also training mode where witches in training can practise their bewitching skills and over-the-top attacks!
Are things getting a bit too hot for you? Active Naive Angel Mode to tone down some of Bayonetta 3’s…risqué elements, such as altering certain clothing options, making some of the violent action scenes milder and more.
