Nintendo Australia announces that within one week of Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version hitting Australian shelves on 10 March 2011, combined sales exceeded 77,000* units - smashing all previous records for week one sales of a Nintendo game in Australia. The previous Australian Pokémon release of Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version, sold a combined total of more than 45,000 units in week one of sales. New SUPER MARIO BROS. Wii sold through more than 47,400 in week one in November 2009. This makes the release of Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version the biggest selling week one release of any Nintendo game, across any Nintendo console in the history of Nintendo in Australia. This takes total sales of all Pokémon games in Australia to more than 3 million units.
