A Record For Nintendo 3DS

Dec 15, 2011 / News

Nintendo announces that Nintendo 3DS has sold through more than 200,000 units*. Confirmed by The NPD Group Australia, this sets a new record, making Nintendo 3DS the fastest selling console to sell through 200,000 units in only 37 weeks. Nintendo 3DS not only beat all other handheld consoles to this mark, but all home consoles as well.

This Christmas, Nintendo 3DS offers a range of games including Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Super Pokémon Rumble, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and nintendogs + cats.

The latest installment in the Mario Kart franchise, Mario Kart 7, brings exciting 3D kart action into the palm of your hand. Up to eight friends can play Mario Kart 7, using just one game card, or play against Mario Kart 7 players from anywhere in the world via online play! Super Mario 3D Land reinvents everything fans love about Mario gaming with the first platforming environment in true 3D, presenting a 3D Mario game that plays like a 2D Mario game!

Nintendo 3DS is available in Cosmos Black, Aqua Blue, Flame Red, and the recently released Lavender Pink. Features include embedded motion sensor, pre-installed 3D software, internet connectivity and the ability to exchange content and data with other Nintendo 3DS owners via StreetPass. Plus you can adjust your 3D experience with the 3D depth slider which turns 3D to 2D. Not only can Nintendo 3DS games be played on the device, but also most existing Nintendo DS games can too.** Offering not only 3D gaming, but also the ability to take 3D photographs, and the recently announced function of filming your own 3D videos, Nintendo 3DS offers something for everyone.
