1-2-Switch drew many laughs from those who ventured in to experience a selection of minigames, with eager players coming back for more 1-2-Switch action throughout the event!

1-2-Switch minigame, Ball Count, was a crowd favourite, with players using the Joy-Con to guess the amount of marbles rolling around inside, simulated by the Joy-Con’s HD Rumble. Many players commented on the ‘realistic precision’ of the HD Rumble, stating that it 'actually felt like there were marbles rolling around inside the Joy-Con.’

While the minigame Eating Contest allowed players to experience the Joy-Con IR Motion Camera, minigames Milk, Quick Draw and Samurai Training not only demonstrated the accelerometer and gyroscope motion sensor technology of the Joy-Con, but also brought out players' competitive spirit as they determinedly challenged their friends’ skills!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Zelda fans and newcomers alike ventured into the wild of Hyrule for the first time on Nintendo Switch, amongst the greenery of our The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild booth, including photo opportunities!

This demo experience allowed players to fully immerse themselves in the gameplay and open-air feel of Hyrule, from the natural sound effects of grass rustling beneath Link’s feet to the sweeping cinematics on both TV and Handheld modes.

In the first half of the demo, players tried out TV Mode using either the Joy-Con Grip or Pro Controller. Experienced players were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the Joy-Con Grip and Pro Controller felt in their hands.

The second half of the demo allowed players to alternate between TV Mode and Handheld Mode, with players excited to witness the easy transition with their own eyes!

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Guests switched between the three play modes (TV, Tabletop and Handheld) of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, stirring players’ anticipation of Mario Kart races and battles anytime, anywhere – from the comfort of their own loungeroom to battling it out at their local café!

Players of all ages expressed their ease in using the Joy-Con as controllers, with many surprised by the responsive HD Rumble and motion-control technology packed into such lightweight and comfortable Joy-Con.

Nostalgic Mario Kart fans celebrated features such as the reintroduction of multiple items, refined Battle Mode and graphics, while newcomers and younger players took advantage of the new Smart Driver option.

ARMS
