 
The mad scientist Dr. Eggman is hatching another dastardly plot
to defeat Sonic and conquer the world. His plan is to build a Dr.
Eggman Empire by turning all the innocent animals into robots to
do his evil bidding. Only the lightning-quick Sonic can thwart Dr.
Eggman’s sinister plan, with the help of his loyal pals, Amy,
Knuckles and Tails.
Play as Sonic or one of his 3 buddies, collecting rings, avoiding
a host of treacherous traps and enemies and finding a variety
of items that will help players finish the stage. Players will
need to work quickly to find the Chaos Emerald hidden in each
Zone. At the end of every Zone players will have to defeat Dr.
Eggman to progress. Sonic and friends must complete 7 challenging
Zones before the final confrontation with Dr. Eggman.
Sonic Advance is the first game able to link to the Nintendo
GameCube, allowing players to trade and raise special virtual
pet like characters called “Chao” with Sonic Adventure
2: Battle on GameCube (Requires GCN GBA Cable, sold separately)
 
- Sonic Advance looks impressive with vibrant and colourful
graphics, detailed backgrounds and well animated characters.
- Fast, fluid and dynamic graphics result in a great looking game that moves at incredible speed.
- Each of the Zones has a unique look, ranging from Grassy Hills, Military Bases, Ice Mountains and even Outer Space.
- There are four different characters to control (each with their own abilities), such as grinding
rails, flying, swimming and of course spinning. Different characters
can find different secret areas to uncover all of the hidden
mysteries.
- Sonic Advance is relatively simple during its initial stages, yet gradually becomes more difficult and offers a greater challenge as players progress.
- 6 all-new Zones to conquer, with two Missions in each Zone, plus two final battles to defeat Dr. Eggman.
- Players can speed through each stage or carefully explore the depths of each zone to find all of the hidden areas.
- Player must find 7 special bonus stages hidden deep within each Zone to find all of the hidden Chaos Emeralds.
- Battle Dr. Eggman at the end of every Zone, and finally defeat him in a climactic battle using Hyper Sonic.
 
- Up to 4-players can race (on one level only) using only 1
Game Pak.
- Up to 4 Game Paks will unlock the full multiplayer options including Race mode, where players must get to the end of the course before anyone else. Choose from 4-players and most of the stages unlocked in the adventure mode; Or try Chao Hunt – find the Chao before anyone else and try to hold onto it for as long as possible.
