To get started, you’ll simply slot your Wii Remote into the uDraw GameTablet, an innovative piece of hardware that includes a pressure sensitive stylus and 4”x6” drawing space. Powered by the existing batteries in your Wii Remote, the uDraw GameTablet’s wireless design means you can place it wherever you’re most comfortable before watching every move you make with the stylus on the drawing tablet translate into an image on your TV screen.

uDraw Studio combines the power of Wii with the uDraw GameTablet to offer creative types an incredible array of painting, drawing and all-round artistic possibilities. Begin by choosing which type of canvas you’d like to work on, selecting from eleven options that include everything from paper to cardboard and concrete. Then set to work using nine different mediums such as pen, paint, chalk and airbrush in conjunction with uDraw Studio’s line tools, paint bucket and selection of over 100 stamps. You can even set the scene by picking an environment in which you’d like to work, positioning your virtual easel on a Paris street corner or in a sun-soaked beach house, for example.

Simple sliders empower budding artists to adjust brush size, opacity and much more as they create works of art, while the ability to mix colours endlessly and zoom into images up to 400% means the most intricate levels of detail are easily achievable. Alternatively, keep things straightforward by using stacks of pre-created templates and simply colouring between the lines! No matter what your artistic ambitions, age or ability level, uDraw Studio and the uDraw GameTablet are bound to bring your creativity to the fore; even offering helpful tutorials to get you started.

Once you’ve created your perfect picture, and perhaps applied one of more than 15 post-processing effects to turn it black and white, sepia or neon, there’s still fun to be had. For starters, via the replay function, you can enjoy watching your images unfold again 2x or 4x faster than you originally conjured them up. And since the greatest thing about creating art is sharing it with others, uDraw Studio enables you to save everything you make to an SD Card. Thanks to this functionality you can print paintings, email sketches and spread your art around - ensuring the image you created on the TV screen becomes another addition to the gallery on grandma’s fridge!
